Tasmania
Tasmania is located at the southern tip of Australia, an island of stunning coastlines, rugged mountains and sparkling highland lakes. Over a third of the state is reserved as National Parks and the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, a refuge and habitat for rare plants and animals. These environments are home to wonderful outdoor pursuits including sea kayaking, bush walking, cycling and world class fly fishing. As well as rugged and ancient natural beauty, Tasmania has a thriving creative culture, a rich history of convicts, miners and whalers and fabulous food and wine.
Traveling with a driver or in your rental car, our favorite places to explore include Hobart’s waterfront, the Port Arthur historical site, wine country, Freycinet National Park and Cradle Mountain.
